What’s better than an exciting Denver Nuggets game? When it combines celebrating Black excellence and supporting the youth in our community! On February 2nd, Ktone Cares partnered with the Nuggets, Connect For Health Colorado, and several Black-led nonprofits for an unforgettable night of basketball and inspiration.

The Impact Thanks to the generosity of these incredible organizations, Ktone Cares was able to provide around 35 young people with a chance to experience the thrill of a live Nuggets game! But this wasn’t just about fun:
- Exposure: Each nonprofit present got to share their message, inspiring attendees with the amazing work being done in our community.
 - Connect for Health Colorado’s Support: Not only did C4HealthCO donate to make this event possible, but attendees also received Connect For Health Colorado Bennies and vouchers for snacks, highlighting the link between wellness and having a great time.
 - Building Pride: Seeing themselves reflected in the leadership of nonprofits and on the jumbotron as Black Excellence was celebrated made this night more than just a basketball game!

Beyond the Score “Nights like this show that community connection is a winning strategy,” says Dondrae Mills. While the final score might be what some remember, what these young people took away was something even more meaningful – a sense of belonging, support, and a whole lot of hometown pride.
Closing Black Health Compass commends Ktone Cares for creating a night that blended fun and positive impact. As a resource hub for young Black adults in Denver, we love spotlighting efforts like this, showing the diversity and commitment of those making a difference. It was a great example of organizations working together to make Denver a better place for generations to come.
